FRISCO, Texas – Central Arkansas sophomore Zachary Jewell and McNeese senior John Lemke are the Southland Conference Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week, the league announced Tuesday. Southland Athletes of the Week are presented by Men’s Field Athlete of the Week – John Lemke, McNeese – Sr. – Lake Charles, La.Lemke scored 20 points in Saturday’s Cowboy Relays, taking first place in the triple jump (48-05.25) and was second overall in the long jump (23-09.5) while finishing as the top collegiate competitor. The Cowboys finished first as a team out of 15. Honorable Mention: Kie’Ave Harry, Northwestern State; Cliff Resias, Southeastern Louisiana; Enrique Soto, McNeese. UCA next heads to Memphis, Tenn., this weekend for the Rhodes College Invitational while McNeese travels to UL Lafayette’s Louisiana Classics. Both competitions take place Friday and Saturday. Dunn Leads Women’s Golf on First Day of the Bradley Spring Break Invite

first_imgThe Bulldogs totaled a team score of 653 (327-326) on the first day of the 54-hole event. Sophomore Grace Dunn is tied for 23rd-place to lead the team with a score of 158 (82-76). Junior Madison Glennie recorded a score of 162 (81-81), while fellow junior Nicole Blanchard carded a 166 (84-82). Freshman Sigurlaug Jonsdottir is a stroke behind Blanchard with a score of 167 (80-87). Aimee Gerschke rounded out the team’s effort with a score of 174 (84-90).
