With the calendar about to turn to the decisive month of February, the Cicero-North Syracuse and Liverpool ice hockey teams both knew that it needed to turn things around fast. And at least in the Northstars’ case, it would find some light in last Friday’s game against Ontario Bay at the Twin Rinks, producing a 5-3 victory over the Storm.Tied 1-1 after one period, C-NS would double Ontario Bay’s production in each of the last two periods as Matt Cramer was the only Northstars player to score twice. Tags: C-NSice hockeyliverpool Devin Freeman and Kyle Debejian each had one goal and one assist, while Holden Sarosy also got a goal. Aidan Long, Tucker Knapp, Sam Richardson, Braylen Tuff, Carter Wisely and Ryan Sisco also picked up assists. Both sides played last Tuesday on the road – and both lost, C-NS handled 7-0 by Baldwinsville and Liverpool taking a 5-1 defeat to CBA/Jamesville-DeWitt.Over the course of the first two periods against B’ville, C-NS did keep things within sight, only trailing 3-0, but it got away as the Bees netted four goals in the final period. Jordan Miller worked in net for the Northstars and gained 31 saves. The Bees had Matt Speelman and Cooper Foote each score twice, with Luke Hoskin getting a goal and three assists.Out at Onondaga Nation Arena, Liverpool was kept off the board until the third period, when Connor Boland’s goal broke up CBA/J-D’s shutout attempt.James Welch had 28 saves, but the Brothers’ Simon Lessor solved him three times for a hat trick as Cody Dotterer got three asssits. Of the Warriors’ 26 shots, 25 were stopped by Joe Salvador. It didn’t get better for Liverpool in last Friday’s 6-2 defeat to Ithaca, a game close for a while before the Little Red issued three unanswered goals in the third period.Boland scored once in each of the first two periods, with assists each time going to Matt Gagnon. The only reason why Ithaca didn’t get more was because Welch was amassing 53 saves.Share this:FacebookTwitterLinkedInRedditComment on this Story

Your word don’t carry much credibility and there are other police reports on the issue to support not charging your dad so I’m saying you should be charged with at the least domestic battery Report Reply 0 Vote up Vote down Always 2 sides · 237 weeks ago So so sad! The man shouldn’t of been charged let alone been thrown in jail until all the facts were known. The father should get a lawyer and sue the city and county. He was originally held in custody on suspicion of aggravated battery against his 22-year-old son Austin, but in a memo addressed to the District Court Clerk, Sumner County Sheriff’s Office and the Wellington Police Department, Spencer stated:“Notice is hearby given that after reviewing the original police report and a supplemental report from (Wellington Police) Detective (Bobby) Wilson, I have determined that Jason Schoemann was acting in reasonable self-defense under the circumstances. He was enduring a physical attack from another individual (his son Austin Schoemann) and Jason was not the initial aggressor in the situation. It appears at the time that it was reasonable for him to use a weapon to defend himself and that he quit using force when force was no longer necessary.â€In an interview in his office this afternoon, Spencer said that Austin had been staying temporarily at Jason and his mother Jennifer’s home.Spencer said Jason and Jennifer were talking in another room when Austin overheard the conversation about him.“He took offense to what was being said, and he burst into the room, and immediately started hitting Jason,†Spencer said. “He had hit him with his fist two or three times and from all indications appeared as if he was not going to stop.â€Spencer said Jason grabbed a three-inch blade knife that was in his bedroom he had for self defense and sliced Austin. The knife slice glanced initially off the shoulder of Austin and into his chest and by his heart which resulted in him being sent to Via Christi-Saint Francis in Wichita.“Jennifer described it as a slice instead of a stabbing,†Spencer said.Spencer said that both Jason and Austin appeared to have been drinking at the time of the incident. He would not elaborate on what the dispute was about, but it had been ongoing dispute that eventually resulted in fisticuffs.“It seemed to be a dispute that shouldn’t have warranted this kind of reaction,†Spencer said. “If either person was sober, I’m sure it wouldn’t have happened.†The Wellington Police were called to the S. Washington residence at 3:18 a.m. Sunday morning and learned that two adult males – 43 and 22 years old and identified as a father and son – were involved in a physical altercation where the son was stabbed in the upper chest, according to initial reports. Wellington EMS transported the Austin Schoemann from the scene and subsequently to Wichita for treatment. The 43-year-old male was transported and treated at SRMC and subsequently booked into Sumner County jail on the suspicion of aggravated and domestic battery.Follow us on Twitter.

THE Gallagher clan are planning to get together again – bringing hundreds of Gallaghers to Co Donegal in September next year.In this piece for donegaldaily.com Niamh Ni Gallchobhair explains the plans, with the first event next Friday in Letterkenny.Le Niamh Ni Gallchobhair: In order to set the scene for the beginning of the run-in to the 2nd in 2013 we’ve decided to give people a chance to recall the 1st Gallagher Global Gathering in 2007. We plan to have a Gallagher evening in the Station House Hotel, Pearse Rd., Letterkenny, Co. Donegal on Friday the 9th March 2012 beginning at 7.00 p.m.to do just that and more. We will show videos, photographs etc .of that particular week’s events including the section of the ABC News TV programme that concerns the Guinness World Record attempt in Letterkenny. This programme was shown coast to coast (to a potential audience of 200 million!!) a few months after our successful attempt. Did you, your family or friends appear prominently? Come and see.We would appreciate if anyone who has other pieces of video and who would be willing to share it, would contact us ASAP. If anyone has fond memories of events that day or from throughout the following week’s events, that they are willing to share, please forward them by email to the address below. We will also have live music and a bit of dancing and perhaps there might even be a cup of tea and a biscuit. Of course if you are hungry or thirsty for more we’re sure that Brian Gallagher and his staff in the hotel will not see you go hungry or thirsty for long (at a price of course!!!). If anyone has other ideas please let us know via our email address below.During the evening we will also review what has been happening since 2007 and holding a very short AGM of the Gallagher Clan to set it up for the following year. If anyone would like to get involved at any level they are more than welcome to let us know beforehand or on the evening….in fact at anytime. As with all the other events that were held since the first in 2006 (hadn’t I a lot more hair then!!!), we hope those who attend will have a great night of fun, frolics and friendship, though it will also be a night to remember those who attended events in 2007 and who are no longer with us.I should say of course that this will be an evening for all Gallaghers and their friends and not alone for those who attended 2007. There will be plenty of fun and items of interest to all. So let you all come out and enjoy a great nights craic (and we don’t mean the powder version!!). That will set the trend for the next 20 months or so leading into September 2013. It’s your party so let’s have your ideas. To add to it all those who attend will be entered into a draw for an original copy of the Guinness World Record certificate that was presented in 2007. This draw will take place on the night.Email to email@example.com or text + 353 87 6680593 for further information or to help in any way.
